Project Card: Four Generations One Roof DIY Homework Station

It’s All in the Details: A Homework Station You and Your Kids Will Love

Jessica Bruno of Four Generations One Roof understands the importance of organization and keeping her life clutter-free. She also understands a frustration that most Mom’s do – searching for a glue stick the night before a big homework project is due.

Jessica partnered with National Hardware to create a homework station that is quick to build and easy to maintain. After all, sometimes keeping organized is all in the details.

Supplies
  • Pegboard (from a local hardware store)

  • Heavy weight wrapping paper in a fun design

  • National Hardware Peg & Storage Hardware

Instructions
  1. Cover the board with wrapping paper, attaching to the backside with duct tape. Jessica recommends heavy weight wrapping paper because the paper won’t rip as easily. Also, if the paper dirty or you get tired of the design, it’s easy to rewrap.
  2. Use the backside of the board to arrange where you want the hardware.
  3. Happy with the arrangement? Turn the board over and place the hardware. Preparation is key – make sure you are happy with your design before puncturing the paper.
  4. Drop in the school supplies! In just four simple steps, you have an organized, stylish homework station that the whole family will enjoy.
